Effective teamwork is one of the biggest keys to our success here at Pasadena Insurance Agency, Inc. We value every member of our team, and together, we have fun while making sure you, your family, and your business are protected.
We’re also committed to making our community a better place. And nowhere can you see that more than in our community involvement.
Meet our Sales Manager, Michael McConn. When he’s not working here at Pasadena Insurance Agency, Inc., Michael spends his time as an active member of the board of directors for the Southwest Football League (SFL).
The Southwest Football League is a youth football organization owned and operated by the South Campus Sports Association. Its mission is to use the game of football to teach young men and women how to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community, and in life.
And for Michael, it does much more than that. “[The SFL] provides a great experience for young boys and girls to learn the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.” The South Campus Sports Association was created in the early 1990s as a response to a lack of facilities and green space in Houston.
At the time, most youth sports leagues operated on public land, either in city parks or on school properties. But as the popularity of youth sports grew, there were simply not enough fields on which to pla del y, and the facilities at many of the fields that were available were woefully inadequate.
Eventually, with the help of visionary parents and community leaders, the idea of South Campus was born and with it, the Southwest Football League. Countless Houston families have benefitted from the SFL and the South Campus Sports Association, including Michaels.
“My favorite activity is getting to spend time with my son all the while teaching young children about the sport of football and teamwork required for everyone to be successful.”
At Pasadena Insurance Agency, Inc., we’re proud to have Michael on our team, and we’re proud to support the Southwest Football League!
