Frank Karkowsky is a leading expert in property and casualty insurance and risk management services for small- to medium-sized corporate and personal clients. Dedicated to growing his reputable, third generation, family-owned insurance agency, Frank leads PIAI as CEO and President. Frank's primary goal is to ensure the Agency's brand continues to stand for trust, protection, customer service, long-term relationships, expertise and offering a variety of insurance solutions and services to meet its customer's specific needs.
Frank’s responsibilities include overseeing and managing the daily operations while growing sales for the Agency's property & casualty insurance and risk management divisions. Frank’s thorough understanding of and commitment to servicing each client’s business combined with his insurance expertise and industry relationships enables him to offer differentiated services helping his clients prevent losses, maximize coverage and ensure proper protection if a loss occurs.
Frank holds a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from The University of Texas at Austin and has 25 years invested in both the insurance industry and his family’s business. Frank is a Certified Risk Manager (CRM), a Certified Work Comp Advisor (CWCA), and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). His active licenses include General Lines – Property and Casualty, General Lines – Life and Health, and Risk Manager. As a contributor on insurance best practices, Frank has published insurance and risk management articles in recognized real estate publications.
Frank enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and watching the UT Longhorns. He is also an active volunteer for the Houston Golf Association, First Tee of Greater Houston and Congregation Beth Yeshurun of Houston. He has also previously sat on boards for The Houston Texas Exes (executive board), Congregation Beth Yeshurun of Houston and Westwood Golf Club of Houston.
