Community Highlight: Monica’s Commitment to Autism

Community Highlight: Monica’s Commitment to Autism

October 13, 2021

Getting involved in our community is at the very foundation of Pasadena Insurance Agency, Inc. So much so that the spirit of giving back, either through volunteering or donations, runs throughout each and every member of the Pasadena team.

Monica, an Associate Syndicator, is dedicated to bringing awareness and acceptance to those living with autism, and her efforts have become a lifelong goal.

Monica supports two different autism-related organizations — Autism Speaks and the Texana Center for Autism.

Autism Speaks envisions a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential. Founded in 2005, they are dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

The Texana Center for Autism is a non-profit organization that provides behavioral healthcare and developmental disabilities services to over 16,000 people annually.

These organizations work hard to enrich the lives of people with autism. And Monica has a very special reason for supporting them both.

“Autism Speaks raises money for autism research. Texana Center for Autism is the school my son attends... I chose these organizations because my son has autism, therefore by extension I have become acutely aware of the challenges those with autism and their families face on a day-to-day basis.”

As she continues supporting these organizations, her aim is to help foster more understanding for individuals with autism.

“I hope to bring awareness to others and to let them know how they can help through sensitivity and understanding.”

Making the world a more tolerant and empathic place is what Pasadena Insurance Agency, Inc. is all about. We hope that, like Monica, we can inspire others to not only be more understanding but also be more willing to take action to help advance causes near and dear to their hearts.
